The Digital Experience

UKIS Engage 2020 will connect the infrastructure and supply chain community through an innovative, intuitive, and interactive virtual experience.

For many of you, this may be a new experience so the key to UKIS Engage is ensuring this is accessible and easy to navigate. Participants can easily browse valuable content, use chat tools to network with exhibitors and also choose and attend your preferred presentations and training sessions.

UKIS Engage 2020 also allows you to join our event from any location via your desktop, mobile or other device, ensuring you can engage with us whilst on the move. And, on top of this, if you miss anything, you can catch up later via our on-demand option.

We will be running a ‘sneak peak’ webinar this August to let participants see what UKIS Engage will look like. To learn more about this new virtual event and how to get the most our of your participation please book your place on our UKIS Engage Webinar – Maximising your Opportunities at UKIS Engage 2020.

The Virtual Lobby

Once participants log in to the event they are taken to an interactive 3D lobby that functions as a launchpad guiding them to various sections of the event providing easy access to areas such as the Exhibition Hall, Keynote Arena, Training and Networking Zones.

Exhibition Hall

With exhibitors located across the virtual exhibition landscape, delegates can easily navigate through the space just like a physical event. The UKIS Engage virtual exhibition stands work just like a regular event – staff can meet delegates, schedule meetings, chat through text, audio and live video calls, engage through social media and even, ‘take away’ literature from each stand.

Keynote Arena & Training Zones

Take your seat ready to watch and participate within the UKIS Engage Keynote sessions, which as always,  will feature a host of leading speakers from across the UK’s infrastructure supply chain community.

Ask questions of the presenters. Take part in any polls. Watch sessions at a later stage if you missed them using the on-demand facility.

Connect with attendees through rich interactive tools such as audio/video/text chat, polls, webinars, and videos in an immersive environment to get the conversation going.

Networking & Collaboration

Dedicated areas at UKIS Engage will ensure you can communicate with key partners, sponsors, delegates and exhibitors via text, audio and video, ensuring you can maximise your event experience and directly engage with very people shaping the future of infrastructure across the UK.

Rest assured the system is very easy to use.

The event will be open from 0830 and will remain open until 1600 on 9 September. Please note that all content will be available on demand for 30 days after the event.

The event will have as many features as a live event. You can access the speaker presentations in the auditorium, visit the partners, sponsors and exhibitors in the exhibition halls and network with other delegates in the networking lounge. You will also be able to take part in Q&A during/after speaker sessions, join in discussion threads, arrange 121 meetings with partners, sponsors and exhibitors, book time with prime contractors, visit exhibition booths and take content home in your delegate bag. All done from the comfort and safety of your home or office environment.

These can be accessed either via the Planner link on the main navigation bar, or via the Info desk.

You can either search in the ‘search booth’ box at the top of the page (type in the name of the booth you want to visit), or you can use the keywords search on the right hand side of the main navigation bar to search by sector/keyword. Check the Exhibition Floorplan (available to download from the Info Desk) to learn a bit more about the sectors each exhibiting organisation covers.

Visit each of the 3 Exhibition Halls and click into the appropriate stands. If you click the Chat button this will allow you to network with the booth representatives.

Please visit the Auditorium from the main menu.

To network with delegates please visit the Lounge – accessed via the main navigation bar. There you can either join the general chatroom to see who is there, or you can join one of our discussion topics. For details of the topics/times of these Discussion Boards please view the Event Planner.

We ask that any discussions – whether via IM or video calls – are kept strictly professional. Please use appropriate language.
Best practise is to send a text IM in the chat room to ask if someone is available for a video call. Please do not ‘spam’ any participant with unsolicited voice calls.
Please bear in mind that many booths will be very busy and reps will get back to you when they can.

BiP Solutions staff will be on hand at the Info Desk in the event to help with any event specific questions. Our technical team will be on hand to answer any technical support questions in the same area.

We would suggest you use Firefox or Chrome to get the best quality.

All content will remain on the site for 30 days, allowing registered delegates the opportunity to revisit on a different day and still be able to access all the presentations and exhibition stands. Please note that none of the networking facilities are available after 9 Sept so if you don’t want to contact any of the exhibitors or partners please see contact information on their individual booths.
